Angel

My 8-year-old wrote a sound poem this week. The goal was to have alliteration, onomatopoeia, and at least one rhymning couplet. Here it is:

Angel
Ring! Clank! Rattle!
What was that?
My piggy bank, Angel, made that sound
She is a pink and purple pig.
And her fur, her fur is velvety.
Her wings and halo are silky and soft.
Her eyes are batting blue.
I like her best because she’s new
That’s my piggy bank, Angel.
