Following Blindly

Yesterday, Brad and I drove down to the Puyallup Fair in separate cars. Brad was going to take A to the Toby Mac concert in the evening and I was going to bring L home. I was following Brad, not because I didn't know how to get there, but because we were going to park together. Anyway, he went a different way than we had gone before and I didn't know why, but I just followed along. I figured that he had a reason and I trust him. I have a track record with Brad to know that when we're driving, his ways tend to be the best ways. I was following blindly, but not stupidly.

I think it's a lot the same with God. When things turn out differently than I had planned, I need to remember that God's ways are the best ways. I can follow blindly, because I have a track record with Him that I can look back on and see that I like where he's taken me, even when it wasn't the way I would've gone. I can follow blindly and it's not a stupid thing for me to do.
